Ukrainian know-how improves mental health
Recent years have shown that mental health is not a secondary issue, but the foundation of our resilience, productivity, and ability to live a full life. In Ukraine, an important step in this direction was the initiative of the First Lady Olena Zelenska — the National Mental Health Program “How Are You?”, which is shaping a new culture of caring for psycho-emotional well-being.
Within this initiative, mental health is viewed as a daily necessity — a state of inner balance that allows a person to cope with stress, work effectively, and maintain healthy relationships. Scientific evidence shows that prolonged tension affects not only emotions, but also sleep, concentration, immunity, and overall physical well-being. Therefore, prevention and timely recovery are of key importance.
Alongside psychological and medical support, tools for self-regulation are becoming increasingly important. One such solution is the Health Capsule — a space designed for deep relaxation and reduction of psycho-emotional stress. The combination of light, sound, and a carefully designed environment helps the nervous system transition from a state of tension to a state of recovery.
The capsule can be useful during periods of intense stress, emotional exhaustion, or after significant physical or mental strain. At the same time, it does not replace professional assistance but complements the overall system of self-care.
The main challenge today is changing the attitude toward mental health. It is important to learn to notice one’s own condition and allow oneself time to recover.
This is how a culture of conscious daily support is formed — both at the level of society and at the level of personal choice.
